Apple iPhone 5 rumors began: all glass design?

This month Apple admitted that Corning make glass for the majority of the iPhone. The report said that Corning glass manufacturing had moved to China.

Now that Apple has filed a patent application describes a unit that has a case is completely made of glass.

According to Mashable, Apple said in a patent application: “some of the reasons to use the glass is glass that is strong, stiff, and radio materials a transparent and sui for an electronic device enclosure is capable of wireless communications.” Patent application say that part of the case may be opaque in order for the sensor is exposed to light.

Paulo Santos seeking Alpha suggests that there is a paragraph that was missing in the language version of the United Kingdom from Walter Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs, who discussed the iPhone and Gorilla glass.

The paragraph showed that Corning glass works in the stronger that will eliminate the need for the metal rim that causes problems with the iPhone 4. Santos speculating that Apple may be preparing to release the iPhone all-glass, maybe a one-piece, all-smooth, curved at the edges, with a larger screen than the iPhone 4S.
