PAGASA tests measuring rainfall gadget

Weather officials began testing the new equipment that can predict the rainfall amounts brought by weather disturbances to help them put out flood warnings are more reliable.

Dr. Flaviana Hilario, head of research and development at the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), said the rainfall warning system will initially tested in Metro Manila and will be ready in June, beginning of the rainy season.
